बीजप्रक्रिया

बियाण्याच्या लागवडीपूर्वी बियाण्यावर बीजप्रक्रिया करणे अत्यंत महत्वाचे असते. बीजप्रक्रिया केल्यामुळे बियाण्याची चांगली रुजवण होवून चांगली उगवण होते. यामुळे बियाण्याची सुप्तावस्था घालविण्यास मदत होते. बिजप्रक्रीयेमुळे पिकांची कीड व रोगास प्रतिकार करण्याची क्षमता वाढते. द्विदल पिकांकडून जमिनीत नत्र जास्त प्रमाणात स्थिर होते. पेरणी सुलभ होण्यास चांगला वाव मिळतो. बिजप्रक्रीयेसाठी मोठ्या प्रमाणात रासायनिक पदार्थांचा वापर केला जातो, त्यामुळे तात्पुरते फायदे होता परंतु नंतर त्याचे मोठे नुकसान होताना दिसते. बीजप्रक्रिया करताना बियाण्याला व जमिनीला कुठल्याही प्रकारची हानी होणार नाही याची काळजी घेणे गरजेचे असते. बीजप्रक्रिया वेगवेगळ्या कारणांसाठीही केली जाते त्यामध्ये काही बियाण्याचे आवरण कठीण असते त्यांची रुजवण उशिरा होते ते टाळण्यासाठी, असे अनेक कारणांसाठी बियाण्यांवर बीजप्रक्रिया केली जाते.

बीजप्रक्रिया हि वेगवेगळ्या पद्धतीने सर्वच बियाण्यांवर केल्यास त्याचा चांगला परिणाम दिसून येतो. बीजप्रक्रिया म्हणजे एक प्रकारचे बियाण्यांवर लागवडीपूर्वी केलेले संस्कारच असतात. बीजप्रक्रिया हि सेंद्रिय पारंपारिक पद्धतीने केली गेली पाहिजे. ज्याचा खूप मोठा लाभ बियाण्याच्या रुजवण क्षमतेत दिसून येतो. बीजप्रक्रिया केल्यामुळे पिकांची रोग प्रतिकार शक्ती वाढते. पिक निरोगी बनते परिणामी उत्पादनात चांगली व भरघोस वाढ होते. यामध्ये बियाण्याची चांगली वाढ व्हावी यासाठी त्यावर काही बुरशीनाशकांची बीजप्रक्रिया केली जाते. त्यामध्ये बाजरी पिकावर येणारा अरगट हा बुरशीजन्य रोग आहे, या रोगामुळे बाजरी पिकाचे मोठ्या प्रमाणात नुकसान होते. उत्पादनात मोठी घट येते हे सगळे टाळण्यासाठी, बाजरी पिकाच्या लागवडीपूर्वी बाजरीचे बियाणे मिठाच्या द्रावणात बुडवून नंतर त्याची लागवड केली जाते. तसेच काही पिकांचे कीटकांपासून संरक्षण व्हावे यासाठी विविध पद्धतीने बीजप्रक्रिया केली जाते. तसेच पेरणी सुलभ व्हावी यासाठी कपाशीचे बियाणे शेणकाल्यात चोळून नंतर सावलीत सुकवून त्याची लागवड करतात. यामुळे त्यांच्यावर असणारी लव एकमेकांना चिटकत नाही व पेरणी करणे सुलभ होते. तसेच धन्याचे बियाणे हे किंचितसा दाब देवून फोडले जाते त्यामुळे उगवण सारख्या प्रमाणात होण्यास मदत होते. तसेच बियाण्याची सुप्तावस्था घालविण्यासाठी काही रासायनिक पद्धतीने बीजप्रक्रिया केली जाते, ती न करता सेंद्रिय पद्धतीने बीजप्रक्रिया करावी. तसेच द्विदल पिकांची चांगली वाढ होवून त्यांच्या मुळांवरील गाठी चांगल्या वाढून जमिनीत नत्र जास्त प्रमाणात स्थिर व्हावे, यासाठी देखील रासायनिक पद्धतीचा वापर मोठ्या प्रमाणात केला जातो. असे न करता सेंद्रिय पद्धतीने बीजप्रक्रिया केल्यास जास्तीत जास्त लाभ होतो. पारंपारिक पद्धतीमध्ये गुळ, गोमुत्र, शेण, राख, पाणी इत्यादी अनेक गोष्टी एकत्र करून किंवा कोणते बियाणे आहे त्यानुसार वेगवेगळी मात्रा घेवून, सेंद्रिय पद्धतीने बीजप्रक्रिया केली जावू शकते. यामुळे बियाण्याला व जमिनीला कुठल्याही प्रकारची हानी होणार नाही. 

सध्या तरुण वर्गाने व शेतकऱ्यांनी सर्वांनीच शेतीकडे एक अभ्यासक दृष्टिकोनातून बघणे गरजेचे आहे. पारंपारिक पद्धतीने तर शेती होतच आहे ती झालीही पाहिजे, परंतु तिला आधुनिकतेची झालर देखील तितकीच महत्वाची आहे. कारण बीजप्रक्रिया या विषयाकडे बघितले तर यात आधुनिक आणि अभ्यासक दृष्टीकोनाने बघणे यासाठी अत्यंत आवश्यक आहे. कारण बहुतांश असे दिसून येते कि, बऱ्याच ठिकाणी बीजप्रक्रिया हि आज केली जाते आणि त्या बियाण्याची काही लागवड आज होते, तर उरलेली लागवड हि दुसऱ्या दिवशी करण्यात येते. यामुळे त्या बियाण्यावर त्याचे परिणाम होत असतात त्यामुळे जेव्हा जितकी लागवड करावयाची आहे तेव्हा तेवढ्याच बियाण्याची प्रक्रिया करावी. नाहीतर उरलेल्या बियाण्यावर बिजप्रक्रीयेचा पाहिजे तसा परिणाम दिसून येत नाही. अशा अनेक गोष्टी बियाणे लागवड करताना लक्षात घेणे आवश्यक आहे.

Also, coriander seeds are crushed with a slight pressure, which helps in germination. Also, some chemical methods are used to disperse the dormancy of the seeds, instead of using organic methods. Chemical methods are also used extensively to ensure good growth of dicotyledonous crops and better nitrogen fixation in the soil. Organic seed treatment without doing so gives maximum benefit. In the traditional method, seeding can be done organically by combining many things like jaggery, cow urine, dung, ash, water etc. or by taking different amounts depending on the seed. This will not cause any damage to the seeds and soil.

At present, young people and farmers all need to look at agriculture from a pragmatic point of view. It should be done in the traditional way, but it is equally important to have a modernization.
