ज्यावेळी बियाणे फोकून बियाण्याची पेरणी केली जाते त्या वेळी हि पेरणी काही विशिष्ट पिकांसाठी केली जाते. ती सर्वच पिकांमध्ये करून चालत नाही. किंवा सर्वच पिकांना या पिक पेरणीच्या पद्धतीचा फायदा होणार नाही त्यासाठी हि पिकांची पेरण्याची पद्धत हि काही पिकांच वापरली जाते. कारण या पेरणीच्या पद्धतीमध्ये पिके मोठे झाल्यावर मशागतीचे कामे करणे अत्यंत अवघड असते. त्यामुळे ज्या पिकांना सतत मशागत करावी लागते त्यांची पेरणी या पद्धतीत केली जात नाही. या पद्धतीमध्ये एका ठिकाणी उभे राहून आजूबाजूला बियाणे हाताने फेकले जाते. यामुळे अनेक वेळा काही ठिकाणी बियाणे तुरळक पडतात तर काही ठिकाणी जास्त प्रमाणात पडतात. त्यामुळे जेव्हा बियाण्याची उगवण होते त्यावेळी काही ठिकाणी ते तुरळक प्रमाणात उगवलेले दिसते तर काही ठिकाणी दाट प्रमाणात उगवण झालेली दिसून येते. त्यामुळे हि पेरणीची पद्धत अशा पिकांसाठी आवश्यक आहे ज्या पिकांची थोडी मोठी वाढ झाल्यास त्यांची मशागत केली नाही तरी चालेल. पाभरीने बियाण्याची पेरणी करणे या पद्धतीमध्ये अनेक प्रकारचे पाभर आहेत त्यामध्ये एक चाड्याची पाभर, दोन चाड्याची पाभर इत्यादी या पद्धतीने लागवड करताना अशा पिकांची लागवड करावी ज्या पिकांचे दोन ओळींत सामन अंतर राहिलेले चालेल व दोन रोपांमधील अंतर समान नसेल तरीही चेलेल अशा पिकांची लागवड या पद्धतीने करावी. कारण या पद्धतीत दोन ओळींत तर समान अंतर ठेवता येते पण दोन रोपांमध्ये एकसारखे अंतर ठेवता येत नाही. या पद्धतीने लागवड करण्याचा महत्वाचा फायदा म्हणजे बियाणे योग्य खोलीवर बियाणे लावता येते. त्यामुळे या पद्धतीने अनेक प्रकारच्या बियाण्यांची लागवड केली जाते. बियाणे टोकून पेरणी करणे या पिक पेरणीच्या पद्धतीमध्ये विशिष्ट अंतरावर खुणा करून बियाण्याची लागवड केली जाते. त्यामुळे दोन रोपांत व दोन ओळींत योग्य अंतर ठेवणे सोपे जाते. तसेच या पद्धतीमध्ये मशागतीची कामे करणेही अतिशय सोपे असते. या पद्धतीने लागवड करताना मनुष्यबळ मोठ्या प्रमाणात लागते. तसेच  या पद्धतीने मका, भुईमूग, एरंडी इत्यादी पिकांची लागवड केली जाते. रोपे तयार करून लागवड करणे या पद्धतीने लागवड करताना बियाणे हे गादीवाफे किंवा सपाट वाफ्यात तयार करून नंतर त्यांची शेतात लागवड केली जाते. अनेक प्रकारच्या भाजीपाला पिकांसाठी या पद्धतीचा वापर केला जातो. यामध्ये वाफ्यामध्ये बियाणे वाढविण्याचा कालावधी हा वेगवेगळा असतो काही रोपे हे ३ आठवड्यात तयार होतात लागवडीसाठी तर काही रोपे हे ५ आठवड्यात तयार होतात. काळजीपूर्वक या पद्धतीने लागवड केली जाते. या पद्धतीमध्ये मनुष्यबळी मोठ्या प्रमाणात लागते.
